Woke up choked with the cold, we passed out last night without turning the lights off or brushing our teeth before bed.
Went clothes shopping with Andrew, he bought a couple of hoodies and some underwear to take up space in the drawer he’s adopted in my flat.
Andrew went to work.
I opened a textbook for uni and read a couple of pages.
I learned ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ on guitar...
Andrew’s sitting on the floor outside his bedroom, hanging out with his little sister and showing her how to do tricks. Yesterday, when I got my uni results, I called him up and sounded so genuinely pleased for me - it made me happier than passing in the first place. He’s a much lovelier person than I am and endlessly patient. I’m very lucky, he’s just the best.
Q.
What does your current Facebook status mean? It means that I passed my latest semester of uni, without necessarily deserving to.
Three days from now this time, where will you be? I don’t know. Probably the same place as I am right now.
Do you think anyone has feelings for you? I do :)
Who was the first person you talked to today? Andrew. When’s the last time you talked with the opposite...
Today I started back at uni, with a scary broadcasting module. I feel out of my depth already. It’s one with blagging essays the night before they’re due, it’s another having 50% of your mark riding on your ability to play with expensive radio equipment. I got my results for last semester and, despite everything, I passed pretty well. Really happy with my mark in feature writing...
A minibus and two trains later, Andrew and I are back at his. It’s been a long day of travelling, really glad to be back. Thurso was fine for a couple of days, minus the weather, it was really lovely to see my family. Andrew and Joel got to meet each other too, which resulted in a lot of software/gaming conversation. It’s been a pretty chilled out weekend and I’ve been feeling...
Thurso is wet, windy and much the same as it’s always been. Tonight’s going to involve Indian food, The Magicians and lying in bed watching films. Visits home are always improved when Andrew comes with me, mainly because I think my family love him more.
Q.
What are you listening to right now? We Found Love - Rihanna.
What was the last thing you ate? I don’t know, I think it was Magic Stars last night.
Who was the last person you talked to on the phone? Sean.
What is the first thing you notice in someone? Their dress sense, I guess.
What is your hair color? Dark brown.
What is your eye color? Brown.
Ever broken any bones? Nope.
What...
Having recently regained the ability to sleep through the morning, I now abuse it constantly. I’m enjoying the emails that have landed in my box today. Today I’m going to shop, catch up and grab coffee with Claire, which will be fun. Tomorrow Andrew and I get to embark on an eight hour train journey back to my hometown. Frodo has a pretty life-altering decision to make, and she...
Q.
1. Who’s the last person you talked to about sex? Andrew. 2. Have you ever sat in the back of a police car? Mhm. 3. Are you stubborn? Absolutely. 4. If you took a drug test right now, would you pass? Yes. 5. Who was the last person to be on a bed with you? Andrew. 6. Do you tend to hold a grudge? I don’t know about a grudge, it’s just 7. Who is the last person that pissed you...
Q.
Do you still talk to the person you liked four months ago? Indeed.
Is it still possible to kiss the last person you kissed? It is, or it will be when he returns from uni :)
Why aren’t you texting the last person you kissed? I am.
What do you currently hear? Fireworks.
Where were you last night? Andrew’s spare room, mostly.
Do you hate it when people smoke around you? It...
Highlights of today:
Andrew came home briefly to get changed out of his work uniform and head off to band practice, so I got a hug and kiss.
Made plans to go shopping/drink Starbucks with Claire on Thursday. Will be fantastic to catch up with her.
The tweet I got from Sean earlier.
Just had a wee catch-up on Facebook chat with my old best friend. We grew apart ages ago, but we still share the...
I would do anything for another minute with you because it’s not getting easier. It’s not getting easier.
Slept in this morning, it was nice. I appreciate that I’ve regained the ability to sleep past the A.M. Not that I’ll have the opportunity to do it very often, but it’s nice to have the option.
Bought train tickets to Thurso, thank you Sainsburys. Not sure if I ever look forward to visiting my hometown, but Andrew’s coming with me and we’re only there for two full...
When one of your friends is one step closer to something they’ve wanted for as long as you’ve known them :)
Today, I refused to let Andrew wake me up and missed my doctor’s appointment. Sometimes I define uselessness. We’ve been pretty lazy and sniffly the past couple of days and, although Andrew’s been working, I’ve not been doing much. Going from working almost everyday to not working at all is weird. Tonight has consisted of ordering Dominoes and back-to-back episodes of House...
Q.
Finish this sentence: The last person I kissed is… Sitting next to me, reading over my shoulder, pretending to play on his iPad but grinning stupidly whenever I type something nice about him. (Hey, handsome).
This time last year, can you remember who you liked? I do.
Do you like when people play with your hair? I do.
Do you plan on sleeping in tomorrow? Maybe, we’ll see.
Waiting for...
Today, I had lunch and did a wee bit of shopping with Kim. Sean made a ten minute appearance, which made us laugh a lot. I have a stupidly sore head and feel kind of sick (this wasn’t helped by eating raw cupcake batter) but I’m at Andrew’s and we’re making cakes and watching the Magicians.
I don’t know how people cope without having at least one Frank Turner album on their iPod/MP3 player of choice. Perfect for grey days, like today, when you need a bit of a spring in your step.
Q.
When are you at your happiest? When I can laugh off a crappy day, when I’m cuddled up with you-know-who or when I’ve done something worth being proud of.
Do you ever find that you are attracted to people who aren’t ‘right’ for you? No, not really.
Is there anything you wish you did today? Nah.
Why haven’t you done it? -
Do you prefer to spend your time indoors or outdoors? I like a...

Today I see Sean Timlin, which I’m rather excited about - mainly because he’s rather fabulous and also because we are totally Jack and Karen from Will and Grace.
Q.
Here’s some weird and personal questions, you down?: Shoot.
Can you call your ex without it being awkward?: -
Do you still talk to the person you last kissed on the lips?: Just a tad, y’know.
Could you go a day not talking to the last person you kissed? Well, I managed the best part of sixteen years.. but I wouldn’t like to now. I can’t really think of a day where we...

What was the last thing you had to drink? Orange juice.
What are you wearing? Pyjamas.
Do you wash your car or let the car wash do it? I don’t have a car,...
Tonight was so, so lovely. Nothing out of the ordinary but, after last year, I’ve got a new appreciation of anytime I feel at ease. I absolutely love being a boring sod.
I must be the only one that doesn't get broody...

One Born Every Minute.
It’s scary more than anything :(
I agree with this, and I only caught two minutes of it. I melt when I pass kids in the street (I wasn’t always like this, I swear) but that programme completely terrifies me about the idea of having a child and makes me double-check that I took my Pill today.
Today, after living in Glasgow since August, I registered with a GP. Have an appointment on Monday, which I’m a tad nervous about. Used stomach cramps as an excuse to spend the rest of the day lazing around in my flat, which has been nice. Andrew came over after work and is currently sitting on the couch opposite me, supposedly revising… but most likely doing something completely...

I can’t get to sleep, I think about the implications of diving in too deep and possibly the complications. Especially at night, I worry over situations. I know I’ll be alright, perhaps it’s just imagination. Day after day, it reappears. Night after night, my heartbeat shows the fear. Ghosts appear and fade away.
Q.
Made out for more than 3 minutes? Mhm.
Slept in a different bed? Yes.
Made out in a movie theatre? … yes.
Made out with 2 different people in one night? Definitely not.

Been in love? Mhm :)
Slept in? Oui.

Painted your room? Yes.
Drove a car? Sometimes Andrew...
It’s a great moment when your mother casually drops into a conversation that she might not be in her job much longer. Being seen as adult is great when you want to bring your boyfriend to your hometown or when you go off to university, but it sucks when you’ve got to deal with all the scary real life stuff that goes with that. Mature for my age? Pah.
Started applying for a new job today, as I quite like having money. January isn’t the most ideal time to apply for a job, I realise, but it can’t hurt to start now. Applied for four so far, so fingers crossed. Andrew’s at work, so I’ve been watching Desperate Housewives and making an awesome CV. Burgers for tea tonight, veggie for me and no doubt two for Andrew. Feeling...
Q.
Are you currently frustrated with someone? Yes.
What is one thing you must have in a relationship? Honesty.
Do you think anyone’s thinking about you right now? Maybe, I’m sure he’s got better things to think about.

If you were at a reasonable age, would you prefer a baby boy or girl? Girl.
Is there something you...

This! plus, does it really matter how someone chooses to read? At least they are taking the time to read something and educate themselves. I like owning books but kindle’s are…
My biggest issue with the Kindle is that it seems to be that the price of an actual book and the price of an eBook...
Q.
Tell me something that made you happy yesterday? I finished my Waterstones contract, then went for coffee and a catch-up with Kim. I got a train to Irvine, had faijtas for dinner and cuddled up to watch the new episode of Magicians with Andrew.
What were you doing at 8am today? Zzz.
What were you doing 15 minutes ago? Talking to Sarah.
What was the last thing you said out loud? “Okay,...
In 2012, I have read five books so far. With another week and a bit before university starts up again, I’m pretty confident that I’ll achieve my new years resolution of reading at least fifty-two books this year.
I’ve been thinking about how many times I’ve been back to Thurso since I moved. I left home in September 2010. I’ve only been on two planned visits, once for Christmas in ‘10 and once in July ‘11 when I’d returned from Florida. Obviously I went home twice in quick succession in April/May when my Grandpa was hospitalised and for his funeral, otherwise, I probably...
Yesterday was my last day at Waterstones. By the time my shift finished, I was the last temp there and quite relieved to be done. Kim and I headed into town, grabbed coffee and had a way overdue catch-up. It had definitely been a while, so it was great. Afterwards, I got the train to Irvine to feed on faijtas and watch Magicians with my better half and Kirstin.
Andrew’s been fantastic the...
I got paid this morning, so my bank account is looking ridiculously healthy right now. Money will come through again on the 12th, then my last pay from Waterstones on the 20th then money will come in on the 27th. After that I’ll have start to be creative with my income. Last two shifts at Waterstones, oh well. Got up this morning and was convinced Andrew and I were both leaving at...
